Stunning flamed maple “10” top in Cobalt Smokeburst nitrocellulose lacquer, mahogany body (great weight at just under 8 pounds overall) and one-piece mahogany neck, “pattern thin” carve, 25” scale, 1 & 11/16” nut, 10” radius, East Indian rosewood fingerboard with bird inlays, hybrid gold/nickel hardware including Phase III locking tuners and the fantastic Gen III tremolo. Electronics feature the excellent L.R. Baggs/PRS piezo pickup, perhaps the very best integral piezo system on an electric guitar, and of course the new DMO (Dynamic, Musical, Open) humbuckers with volume and controls and a 5-way blade selector switch. The piezo has a separate switch and blend control, and the guitar has dual output jacks for “mix/mag” and “piezo”. Tremendous versatility, unmatched playability, excellent resonance and response, premium materials and components, attention to detail, outstanding build quality, all typical of Paul Reed Smith guitars.
