Metallic red with silver undercoat, gold hardware, and with a rare (on a Les Paul Standard) ebony fingerboard but with Standard crown inlays. Limited edition of…we’re not entirely sure. Some sources say 250, some say 300, but this one has an edition number of “0376” stamped separately on the back of the headstock, so at least that many. In any case we very rarely see these. This one has its original and coveted Tim Shaw humbuckers and the very cool factory Schaller flip-out crank tuners – the only changed parts are the addition of standard strap buttons (alas, the cool original diamond ones are missing). However, you may be asking yourself “what’s going on by the bridge?” Yes indeed, that’s a filled-in Kahler rout, but it was the ‘80s, man, can’t blame the well-intentioned young metalhead. This is rather light for a Norlin-era Les Paul is very attractive, and comes in its original third-generation Protector case. Made in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
