1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom Silverburst
$8,500.00In stock
Factory Silverburst finish with nickel hardware, and as was the Norlin style at the time, applied not just to the top but also the back, sides, neck, and, incredibly, the back and sides of the headstock. Some honest wear and checking and some attractive yellowing of the nitrocellulose lacquer, but overall reasonably clean and looks great, and plays very well as well as sounding terrific. A very iconic color variant of the Les Paul Custom, and we don’t see these very often. A few changed bits – tuners replaced with Grover Roto-Matics, bridge pickup is a Duncan Seth Lover, Tone Pros bridge, and changed strap buttons, and comes in a newer hard case. This one actually weighs in at a little under ten pounds, which is very rare for a Les Paul Custom, especially from this period. Structurally and electronically sound, made in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Consigned.
