Black Beauty, second year of reissue, Gibson having brought back the single-cutaway arched-top Les Paul Custom the previous year in 1969, rich and musical “patent sticker” humbuckers, no broken solder joints, no breaks or issues, original frets, one piece body, three-piece neck, medium neck tenon, lustrous ebony fingerboard with pearl blocks and the iconic split-diamond headstock inlay, open “B” and open “G” logo, clean gold hardware including the lovely low-mass “waffleback” Kluson tuners like your ’50s Les Paul Custom. Attractively-yellowed binding, a reasonably big neck with a very comfortable rounded profile, and great tone from those original pickups. Plays very well, looks like a million bucks, just a fantastic guitar. Comes with its original and also a newer Gibson hard case. Consigned.
