1964 Ampeg Portaflex B12-NC
$795.00Out of stock
Quite clean, all stock, and sounds phenomenal.1 x 12” JBL Speaker running at 8 ohms, 25 Watts. The B12 and the also-popular B15 Heads are schematically the same, but come with different sized speaker cabinets, (12” and 15” respectively, make sense?). NC denotes the revised circuit that came in 1963. The Portaflex series was introduced in 1960 and quickly became sought out by session musicians like James Jamerson for its ultra hi-fidelity sound and sonic flexibility, (plus you can easily hide your contraband in the cabinet, shh). We find it to be a real value if not for its high quality and great sound, then for it’s flat-out coolness and the fact that it’s not another Fender, Marshall, or Vox. They make an excellent clean pedal platform, and work well for live or recording applications. Healthy, affordable, practical, and unique (wait til you see the light-up Ampeg sign!) May incur additional shipping charges.
