4×10” combo, “narrow panel” late tweed era, two channels, a strong 45 watts from a pair of 5881s. Re-covered and re-lacquered but the work was professionally done and it looks really good. The upper speakers are two older Jensen P10Rs, one dated the 37th week of ’59, the other to the 44th week of ’60 and the lower are Jensen reissues from around 2011. The output transformer is original but the power transformer has been replaced, as has the mains cable. Truly the king of the tweed Fenders, these actually make great bass amps (go figure) and are arguably the most influential guitar amps of them all – just look at the early history of Marshall. Plenty of headroom, great clarity but fearsome crunch, tight low end, incredible-sounding. Handwired in Fullerton, California, USA. Local pickup only, consigned.
