1951 Gibson LG-1
$2,995.00In stock
Sunburst, early features including the small bridge and pickguard, skinny braces and a tapered headstock. All the goodness of a 40’s Gibson ladder braced guitar. All solid woods aged 73 years after sitting in a lumber yard in the 40’s before going to the Gibson mill room. Has a Sitka Spruce top, old growth Honduran Mahogany back and sides, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Imagine these ingredients on a new guitar.
This one has no cracks just dings and scratches of an old guitar that was repectfully played. There is a big ding on the sides. It’s pretty clean for a 70 year old guitars. It sounds great as you might expect from old wood and skinny braces with strong bass, long sustain and that focused mid range that really records well. Comes with a newer hard case. Nice.
