1940’s Recording King Jumbo (Regal Made)

$2,250.00

Out of stock

Sunburst, VG with recent neck reset and bridge reglue, so it plays fantastically. Has some other repairs listed below.

But first…nice deep loud tone from a spruce top, mahogany body and Brazilian fingerboard. Maybe the best Regal we’ve ever heard.

This is 41” long, 15 3/4” wide, 25 1/4” scale (44mm). The nut is 1 13/16” and the body is 5” deep. That’s quite wide. This jumbo was top of the line for the era. The neck is big with a V profile.

Other earlier repairs include several top cracks including two parallel to the fingerboard. The tuners are replaced. The headstock has a small crack on the bass side that goes about 1/4 across the headstock. It was repaired long ago and is not moving. The neck set really improved the tone and now the action is easy with a full bone saddle. Comes with a nice hard case and puts a smile on our face.
