Stop Sign Red. A crazy cool design. The oldest electric guitar maker in Japan. Guyatone really used some international design cues here. Many folks first guess is it’s Italian made. They also used a German top carve (see Roger Rossmeisel) like early Rickenbackers. We admire Nate DeMont who brought back the Guyatone name in conjunction with Toshihiko Torii a Japanese engineer. This guitar is just too cool with this big horn Salvador Dali look.

This guitar is early with a wide white border pickguard and the selector switch near the bridge. Note the extra hole in the pickguard. We don’t know why it’s there. Has a big, not huge neck. The two pickups are original and note the perfect line between pole pieces. They are not cracks. The finish is original and it does show some dings on the top and back through the finish. It’s 14” wide at the lower bout and oddly 13” at the upper bout. Stand out in your crowd. Sorry comes without the trem arm and has no case.
