1971 Martin D-28

Natural, a fantastic sounding guitar that has been broken and put together again like Humpty Dumpty. But it turns out all the kings horses could put it back together again after all.
First, nice, nice. It truly sounds great with a really strong bass and long sustain. All the use has aged it fantastically. You can’t deny it’s huge sounding, and it’s been repaired many times.
We reglued the headstock back on after a shipper broke it. Don’t worry we did not spare the glue. Further you’ll see the back of the headstock was painted. Some of the paint was removed and some remains. The tuners are a mix of four Patent Pending Grovers and two older nickel Grovers. This is a pre-adjustable truss rod Martin and is a testament to the solidness of the old style truss rod. The neck is still straight. It has been refretted (likely twice) and the frets are now in good shape with no divots. The binding is reglued with some small gaps remaining all over. Shows lots of pick wear, repaired side crack and a repaired top crack by the arm rest. It has no other top cracks and no b string crack. It also has a pickup jack installed but no pickup. So you can install the pickup of your choice. Comes with a non-original but nice tweed hard case.
