1974 Fender Telecaster
$3,995.00In stock
See Through Blonde on ash body, VG++. A nice 70’s vintage set up for a player formerly used by a touring guitarist. The pickups are original yet the grey bottom bridge pickup has been potted to prevent feedback and the original neck pickup was rewound by Eric Daw in 2019. Good job Eric putting a “rewound by” sticker on the bottom. The pots are replaced with 250K Emersons with a .047 MFD Emerson tone cap. The three way switch is also replaced. The original pickguard has two added adjustment screws on the pickguard to raise and lower the neck pickup. The saddles are changed to brass for added low end. Oh and one more thing it’s been refretted. A huge you’re welcome because it was a great job and there is almost no fret wear. See.. we told you set up as a players guitar under the hood.
We are happy to see any 60’s or 70’s Telecasters as we’ve been seeing this era rise in the vintage guitar marketplace. Someone else did it for you and did it well.
But it’s still that 70’s Tele sound with stronger output than a late 60’s Tele and a stronger neck pickup. We see these at $3500 with a humbucking route to over $6000. The Fender Custom shop will charge you close to $5K. The case is an early 80’s Fender case with a repaired handle.
