Silverburst. Yes, Silverburst. We’ve seen more ’59 Les Paul Standards and stack-knob Jazz Basses than Silverburst Flying Vs. This is a fine example, all-original and quite clean, very light at 6.5 pounds, mahogany body, unbound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dots, nickel Gibson-branded Kluson tuners with metal keystone buttons, 3-ply white pickguard and “Gibson” truss rod cover, a pair of great “patent stamp” humbuckers, “witch hat” knobs, ABR-1 bridge and stoptail, 3-way pickup selector, and the usual Norlin things like a volute and the “Made in USA” stamp. Plays and sounds great, and my goodness does it look cool as all get-out. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA. Consigned.
