Acoustic Flat Top1969 Martin 00-28C

Natural, Brazilian Rosewood, fan braced, 26.44" scale. EX-. These warm nylon string guitars are a bit like Willie Nelson’s Trigger N20 except Willie’s is a shorter 25.4" scale (less tension, looser bass response). Like Willie’s this is Sitka Spruce over Brazilian Rosewood with mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge. Also both guitars are fan braced. This has a repaired back crack but is otherwise in fine fettle with normal wear and finish checking. Its tone is outstanding, rich rumbles and overtones with quite a bit of sustain that only can be achieved with age and play. Six layers of top binding and elegance. Old Brazilian wood adds the big warmth. Note we see brand new sets of Brazilian Rosewood for guitar making selling for $3-$4K. Nice mellowed yellowed classic.

Also what’s the difference? Willie Nelson’s Trigger is a style N-20 classic with a more traditional classical guitar shape. I’ve been told the 00-28 models were X braced but this one is clearly fan braced. These 00-28C’s have a narrower waist, less classical appointments and the longer scale length for better bass. And Trigger is….well…Trigger. Comes with the original hard case. $4500
