Archtop-Electric & Acoustic1957 Gibson Super 400
Sunburst, hand carved solid spruce top and solid flamed maple back and sides this was Gibson’s top of the line and one of the few 25.5" scale length guitars they made in this era. Shows minor playing wear and two small marks on top from a stick on guitar tuner (that was supposed to be safe on finishes). The jack plate is also replaced. The two Alnico pickups give a rich 50’s velvet hammer jazz tone. Phenomenal! The body is multi bound everywhere including the F holes. Gotta love the original "head cheese" pickguard. The original tuners still work great. The bridge is an early 60’s Tune-o-matic. One of only 24 made in 1957, talk about rare. Comes with the original brown hard case. $22,500
